The 10 Most Expensive Cars on Earth

The odds are you’ll see cars that are worth about $20,000 to $40,000 on average when you’re at your local car dealership. You’ll also see some options that are less expensive when you go out to used car lots.

But have you ever noticed how expensive some cars can really be? There are many cars on the market right now that are worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. Naturally, you might not be able to actually afford one of these cars. You may not even be able to find them as they are often in limited production.

Of course, these cars have their own special reasons as to why they are so expensive. With that in mind, let’s take a look at some of the most expensive cars in the world.

Bear in mind that we didn’t include classic cars that were on the auction block. Also, the cars on the list are all street-legal vehicles. In other words, the $3.3 million McLaren P1 GTR is not on the list because it was designed with racing purposes in mind.

Porsche 918 Spyder – $929,000

The Porsche 918 is a hybrid sports car that was first introduced in 2013. It is a limited-production vehicle as there are about 918 units on the market right now.

The 918 Spyder is the most expensive variant as it comes with a value of $929,000. This car has a V8 engine at 608 horsepower and uses a seven-speed auto-shift manual transmission. It also features twenty-inch magnesium wheels and an all-wheel drive feature. The rear wheels can adjust themselves while the vehicle is turning. Cruise control is included alongside a built-in navigation system that can be found right on the car’s dashboard.

This vehicle is a hybrid gasoline-electric unit. It can travel as far as nineteen miles off of its battery before it has to use any gas. The vehicle can still go at 20 mpg on city roads and 24 mpg on the highway.

This vehicle also has a carbon fiber polymer body, thus making it light in weight while keeping the drag down.
