Cotard Delusion

The Cotard delusion is a rare psychiatric disorder named after Jules Cotard, who is a French neurologist who first described the condition as “le délire de négation” (“negation delirium”), in a lecture in Paris in 1880. This disorder is characterized by delusional beliefs that the person is dead, does not exist, or has lots their blood/internal organs. In rare cases of it, it can potentially include delusions of immortality.
